At the latest ICOP-L2 conference held in Newcastle, Jaume Batlle and Paula Redondo presented a study centred on the analysis of interactions generated in goal-oriented interaction activities, a type of interaction studied in the INTERAC-TIC project.
Specifically, the focus was on examining which interactional resources came into play in reaching the consensus necessary to complete the activity. The study provided a deeper understanding of how these types of spoken interaction unfold when generated online by ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) learners.
ICOP-L2 (Interactional Competence and Practices in a Second Language) is an international conference that brings together researchers who share a socially situated perspective on language use and development, and who study how people interact in a second language.
